Morning meal?
Hey everyone. I can only find time to workout very early in the morning and following my workout I drink my protein shake. So basicaly I don't get in breakfast. Can anyone give me some solutions as to a meal breakdown when working out early in the morning.

I would recommend that you have a protein shake and a small amount of oatmeal as soon as you crack open your eyes. Let it digest while you are brushing your teeth and getting ready and driving to the gym. This will keep you in a positive nitrogen balance while you are training. You have been sleeping all night and probably have gone without protein for 8-10 hours, so getting in some nutrition before your workout is a good idea to keep you from breaking down muscle to fuel your workout. Just avoid fat if you can in that pre-workout meal. Then you definitely need to have a healthy dose of protein and carbs and a small amount of good fat post-workout as well, preferably in the form of liquid for quick absorption. You should have a good solid meal about two hours after your post-workout shake. Hope this helps. Good luck.
