Need an idea for protien at work
I work in an office environment w/o kitchen facilities. For the last year I've been keeping protien bars at my desk and eating about 4 a day. 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. This has worked well until lately where all the protien bars I have liked have been replaced with high cal or low protien equivalents.
I do have acess to a fridge off in a storage room. It isn't fancy but it keeps things cool. I don't want to deal with anything that I need to wash, as the only sink I have access to is in the restroom which I have to go outside to acess. Yes I work in a building with no indoor plumbing. Any suggestions on how I can better meet my protien needs w/o getting too much carbs or making a mess I cannot easily clean up? Protien shakes are out of the question. |

Why not just bring a few servings of protein powder in a ziplock bag and a shaker and shake them up with cold water--(I hope you guys have access to cold water...if not you need to quit....that is inhumane...lol). Since you are the only one drinking from the shaker and if it doesn't get hot, I would just not worry about washing it til you get home. Just my input, but I believe powdered forms of supplemental protein are superior to bars which are cooked to death and lose all their protein value.

Why don't you just get protein shakes premixed from home and stick them in the fridge? I bought a 4pk of inexpensive rubbermaid bottles (cost about 3 bucks) and I take 3 shakes and a bottle of gatorade premixed from powder every day to work and put them in the fridge. It takes me about 5 minutes in the morning to prepare them - my enormous lunch sack turns a few heads though lol.
There is no mixing and spillage/cleanup and you simply carry home the dirty empty bottles home to be cleaned and ready for the next day. |

I use empty water bottle and puor a seving of protien powder in it. When it is time I add water and drink it. Also tuna and chicken in the packs is a good choice.

You can bring grilled chicken in a ziplock bag or boiled egg whites as long as you can brush your teeth
