at the very least i drink 3 cups on non-fat milk everyday; 1.5 AM & PM with my minimum two shakes. i never heard is referred to as a "fat-burner" though.

skim milk is around 8g protien and 12g carbs. So it could be added to help get the caloriesm but of course don't over due it.

just take some calcium pills i have 1 glass of milk a day just to have it. Tastes good and is a filler upper and you know your drinking right. Have it in a shake or use it in ur oatmeal. But i dont see 4 glasses of milk doing anything special for you. Take the calium pills you can get 400 for like 5 bucks lol. Calcium is great to have for your bones and yes its one of natures dietary supplement. So is Vitamin C. But its not going to be like ephedrea or a fat burner. To loose weight is to diet by eating healthy and doing cardio. Dont think you can just drink something or use a dietary supplement and loose weight and be satisfied. And the whole so i can drink this and build muscle and no work out? Lol if you want to build any type of muscle working out is the only way i see in doing it. unless there is this trick everybody on this site hasn't told me or knows about yet.

Taking pills of any sort should be kept to a minimum. Getting the nutients naturally is always the best way. Just taking calcium pills won't completely do the trick. You also have to have vitamin D in your system to process and carry that calcium to your body. Which both are found in milk.

Switch to soya, the taste takes a while to get used to but you can get all your milk nutrients and more from it.....

Just say no to soy!

Soy elevates estrogen levels in men and is inferior to milk in vitamin/mineral/protein content. Milk in moderation is fine and is an excellent source of protein as well as essential nutrients. No need for whole milk, 2% or skim is still a great choice. Whey proteins, the most popular and widely accepted as most beneficial are derived purely from MILK!

MILK DOES A BODY GOOD!

DRINK MORE MILK!

ok, ok I work in the Ag. industry and milk pays my bills...........

LMAO

i was going to ask, are the carbs in milk, good carbs or bad?

I drink a large glass of milk everyday because I have osteoporosis in my family.

I also take calcium citrate + D pills.

Dairy in general should be cut when trying to lose BF. The carbs in dairy are turned to sugar when digested and can spike insulin more than other cabrs like brown rice or oatmeal. So, they are bad carbs. I don't eat a lot of dairy even when I'm not dieting. I jsut take a calcium supp. I have realized I'm not as bloated when I don't eat it.

Osteoporosis is a bone disease, and it's good that you are taking precautions. But part of the reason elderly people develop it is because of lack of bone density. If you continue to work out and build a little bit of muscle, that can hinder development.

I personally don't drink milk at, I opt for fat free cottage cheese instead, still has a lot of the same vitamin and nutrients with a far better ratio of protein to carbs, and less sugar, if you wanna stay with getting your vitamin D and calcium from natural sources you may wanna look into the addition of more cottage cheese
