traveling
okay, so i'm traveling ALL summer, 90 days straight, and my diet has gone to hell, i'm lucky if there's a gym nearby my hotels (don't get me started on hotel "fitness facilities," and the food I can find is crap.
Short of buying a cooler and stopping every few hours for ice etc..., does anyone have any suggestions? Any decent meal I buy is too large a portion, I can't save the leftovers and store them safely for later consumption so I end up eating the whole thing. Protein bars melt in the car & backpack, nothing is made in useful servings for 6-8 smaller and healthier meals per day. |

Single serving tuna doesn't need to be refrigerated and neither do lo-carb bagels. Every fast food drive thru in the nation has salads now, most with grilled chicken that are pretty dang good. I would carry a little cooler for MRP bars, shakes and water. If you have to stop for ice or get ice at the motel before you leave, that's not such a big deal.

Yes, as was just said, it is possible. There is a pretty good body builder that is a writer for a BB web site and also a long distance truck driver. He manages somehow with coolers and motel rooms. So it can be done.

Why get low carb bagels when you can find a whole grain bread product and have your complex carbs instead of having to worry about lowere your simple carbs. Also for protien bars, look into Trioplex bars. There not coated with a choclate or anything. More like a granola. http://www.tigerfitness.com/Trioplex%20Bars.htm My favorite is the Oatmeal Raisin Roll. It didn't sound as appealing but once I tried it I was sold over the other flavors.
