Damn man, I'd hate to see how much of your protein gets pissed out? You ever worry about your kidneys?

Not sure that much of it does get pissed out. As for my kidneys, I use cranberry juice and drink at least a gallon and a half of water per day.

Do you know if most of the proteins you take are low molecular weight or high molecular weight? If they were higher it would make them less likely to get filtered out I guess. But even so, in a normal functioning kidney, most of them should be reabsorbed back in the proximal tubule.... But I guess if you take a lot of low weight and the kidney reaches saturation point with what it can reabsorb, some of its bound to pass out in the urine. You ever done a urine test to see if you have proteinuria?

Lol sorry you're probably right to keep it simple, but i like to know exactly whats going on myself. And because i am revising for my exams I find myself armed with knowledge (which I am sure I'll forget like 2 mins after they are over)

And what I meant about the test was a test of your urine to see if there is protein in it.... There really shouldn't be any unless you hav renal impairment...

I'm def. gonna head to the store and get me a couple bags of those chicken tenders. I am so tired of thawing frozen chicken every night and having to clean all the fat off.

You gotta be a monster with that diet Bouncer

i couldn't afford to keep up the chicken tenders. i had to resort to orther, less expensive ways to maintain my calorires. i don't need as much protein as you take in so most of my calories are in fat and carbs.

even buying the stuff at costco, your food bil must be 75-100 per week. I'm getting most of my calories from peanut butter, flax meal, canned milk , and oatmeal.

I thought you'd probably be having cheese oatmeal egg white grits every morning and then chicken, corn, beans and corn bread at black eyed pea four times a day. With steak and french fries at outback at 10pm.

Ya, I eat a few tablespoons of Natural PB with no sugar added. The kind that the oil seperates from the peanut butter.

That's your old diet when you were juicing. Now that you're only at 3000-3500cals/day, did you keep carb/pro/fat ratio the same and just cut back on quantity or did you mix up the percentages too?

Is there an easy way to tell if you're being hard on your kidneys? My piss isn't too yellow, that's usually how I judge, clear pee means you're pretty hydrated right?

Oh, and what's the major benefit to cranberry juice in your protein shake instead of water? Do the carbs help the protein along?

I'm trying to gain, PRE-workout: I drink a weight gainer with extra whey, which ends up being about (650 cals, 120g carbs, 20g protein), and then I drink the same shake immediately after my workout. Are there any disadvantages to this?

One last thing. I was reading about knowing how much protein your body can handle per serving. If you think you can handle more grams of protein, should you be taking more? If you're a hardgainer I would think so, just wondering.

No there is no easy way to tell if your being to hard on the kidneys. Blood and urine test are the best way.

As far as the pee color, try and keep it clear looking as much as possable. It will be darker in the morning.

The cranberry was just to help clean the kidneys. But yes, you should always have carbs post workout.

I have been cutting for a few months now. Pretty lean now. Generally, I have been eating really clean for about a year now, so you could say I have been cutting for that long. I have a cheat day every Saturday..

The saying is that you cant get fat in one day;

So on your cheat day everything goes?

or do you consciously pick what your going to eat in order to not stray off too far from keeping it clean?

B you sound like more of a J Cutler grazer than a Ronnie Coleman 4-5 meals a day, thats a pretty impressive regime you follow and pretty time consuming I should imagine.
