whey protein or chicken
After I workout I immediately have a protein shake with about 50 grams of protein. I was reading one of my girlfriends fitness magazines and it had an interveiw with Alcatraz Coleman. He said he doesn't mess around with shakes after workout and gets down to business at Outback with 3 chicken breasts. I tried this after my last workout and I think it made me even hungrier for more chicken for about three hours after that.

i always een to eat. For me i need something solid. Ive tried drinking shakes but that doesnt cut it for me. I like to eat some high protein after a workout and i feel good. Gotten good results too.

I would venture to guess about 99% of all things in most fitness magazines is bullshit. I find it hard to believe some of the pros even write their own articles sometimes. Anyway, I take in a fast acting whey protein shake immediately after working out. Lotsa studies to show that's a pretty good idea. Then eat a solid meal about 1.5-2 hours later. I guess that guy's gym is right next to Outback.

IMO go with the shakes , faster absorbing save the chicken for your meal afterwards

I am not hungry after I train so I drink a shake (Myoplex + 10-12 more grams of whey). It digests faster and then I follow that up with a meal about an hour later. (2 chicken breats and some veggies like brocoli, snap peas, etc). Sometimes I go for some tuna if I am short the chicken
