Is real food as good as a shake?

post workout:
Is some chicken and brown/wild rice or tuna just as good as taking a shake?

imo whole foods are better for you, so long as they are of the healthy variety

In my opion the shake is better. Takes less time to absorb, remembering you've only got a short window to get as much protein as you can. Although I usually eat a real meal within an hour of the shake as well just to have some proper food in my stomach. Post workout for me is generally shake and banana's then chicken or tuna with pasta for the next meal.

sana will become famous soon enough
i personally eat a real meal post workout and have not noticed any thing wrong. i know another girl who's working with kim odo who does not take a post workout shake (eats solid food) and is fine also.

but keep in mind we're both cutting.

it depends on how you feel your body reacts and what your goals at the time are.

The only time I eat a PWO shake is when I'm bulking. Maintaining or cutting, I just time my 4th meal to be about an hour after I workout.
