Flaxseed/flaxseed oil
Ok Maybe this is a stupid question! But wut is the diference between buying the actual flaxseed grinding it up, and taking it, With something ofcourse. As opposed to buying the flax seed oil already in a nice little bottle. My mom baught a huge thing of flaxseeds, she grinds it up and sprinkles it on her cereal. Now ive tried it and it doesnt taste like anything. I mean u could put this stuff in ur protein shake, as opposed to the oil. But is there a diference?? Does anybody know?? Im guessing there isn't, or one is just absorbed faster or somethin.

whats up sac town? i just use the oil not sure if there is added nutrition in the oil or not. wait for yellow jacket to come along he seems to know his shit. untill then i doubt there is much difference.

They are essentially the same. 100g of the seeds is still c. 35g of fat, omega-3 & omega-6 fatty acids. Oil is more practical in shakes because it is a liquid and mixes well with the liquid shake. I hope your mom is blending the seeds slighly before using them on her foods, etc. without a break in the seeds shell, they go undigested. There are slighly more benefits to eating the seeds, the shell of the seed contains vitamins and minerals the regular oil doesnt, but be sure youre grinding them.
Some like the taste of the oil, while its not a personal favorite of mine, I dont mind the taste and find, although slighly more expensive, mixes very well with my shake or liquid beverage. Shelf life of the oil is not as stable as that of the seeds for obvious reasons, but if youre using the proper doses, the bottles shouldnt last nearly long enough to spoil. You may want to check into fish oil, as its slightly superior to flax oil itself. I tend to use both. And the MuscleTech flax oil is just as good as 500mgs of Test a week,

Aright it's good to hear something positive about muscletech, especially from YJ. Yeah we grind it first. We use a coffe grinder to grind it. I actually use it on my protein shakes. Makes my skin look nice and healthy. Ok well i guess it wasn't a stupid question after all. Ummmmm! there really isnt a muscletech flaxseed brand, is there? If so where do I buy it, and it better be over $75 a bottle, atleast. lol!!!!!! Just kidn YJ, i kid because i love!
