I know everyone knows how important it is to have a postworkout shake after a heavy weightlifting session or a cardio session but don't limit them to strictly gyms sessions. If you and your friends play a game of basketball, some tennis, or whatever, its a good idea to drink something after. Most of you know that I talk and hammer away at overtraining a lot and while I don't believe that nutrition can replace rest it is still a good idea to replace what you lose as fast as possible. When the body is starving for nutrients after an intense exertion, give it what it wants. And this will sound funny but even if I have intense sex I will drink a carb drink afterwards. I don't really count these into calorie counts because the body will not store these as fat. It replaces the glycogen stores from the muscle and liver.
