Bread and High Fructose Corn Syrup

I've been looking for a change in my bread. I really have no complaints about the brand (Natures Own Whole Wheat), but sometimes the slices look pathetic; they are too small. I like the larger thicker loafs like the Sara Lee makes that is a 1lb loaf. The problem is that all these breads that are bigger loafs geared toward sandwhiches contain high fructose corn syrup; all of them. I've been using my brand b/c it doesn't have this, but I really need a change.

My question is, does the fact that these breads contain high fructose corn syrup make that big of an impact on dieting? I stopped eating fruit b/c of this and it seems impossible to find the bigger breads that don't contain this.

If you want to be lean, you have to make sacrifices and big, fluffy bread seems to be one of those sacrifices. Every truly healthy bread with no added sugar that I have seen is definitely drier than common breads.

Yeah, I guess you're right. They should change the name from "bodybuilding" to "Sacrificing everything good", lol

wheyman - eventually you just forget about it. I haven't eaten bread in over a year! The sacrifice will be worth it in the end.

Wheyman, try one of those 7grain or 10 grain type breads. They are kind of crumbly but taste good when you make what ever from it.

This may sound fruity, but try an organic food store. They usually have sprouted grain breads that have no added sugar. The organic section of your grocery store might have Ezekiel bread, which is one of the healthiest breads I've seen.
