Diet Check

So now that I have moved into my apartment it's real easy to eat the right way now. I'm bulking and I work different hours all the time and sleep at different times. So I will just start from the point in which I consider a new day after sleeping. This is the protien powder I use. http://powernutrition.net/product_in...roducts_id=488

Meal 1: 5 egg whites 1 whole egg, half cup (uncooked measurment) oatmeal with honey, Shake with one scoop of powder

Workout

Within 30 mins PW shake2 scoops of powder with 1 tbs dextrose

Meal 2: No more than hour after the shake - Grilled chicken, 2 cups cooked brown rice

Meal 3: Half pound ground sirloin, 2 cups green beans or brocolli

Meal 4: Grilled chicken breast, 1 cup (uncooked measurement) oatmeal

Meal 5: Can of tuna, sweet potatoe

Meal 6: Can of tuna, about a sanwich baggie of baby spinach

Meal 7: 5 egg whites 1 whole egg
Sleep

You need a little more protein in meal 1. Also use 2 scoops of protein in your shakes. Meal 3 and 4 should be changed around a little. Eat the sirloin and the greenbeans or brocalli in the same meal. eat the chicken and the oatmeal or potato in the same meal. try and keep your meals, protein/carbs or protein/fat. i have all my protein/carb meals early in the day and all my protein/fat meal later in the day.

I would also get some more healthy fats in there. And at least a gal of water if your not doing so already.

Have sometime of simple sugar when you first wake up. Reason being, the glucose will cause an insullin response that will suppress cortisol and oter stress hormones that are always at their peak in the morning. Also, have some type of lean meat, I agree that a tad more protein would be useful, since its your first meal of the day.

I like it.

I like eggs before bed. Ive been having 6 egg whites, no yolks and a large glass of Carb Countdown milk and I like it a lot. I dont gobed with an upset stomach and I know Im getting a good amouont and a variety of proteins.

Just to be nosey, whats your post workout shake look like?

Overall I like it and its obvious you have your information down.

Ok, take a look again. I edited my first post. I also do drink the gallon of water and the tuna I eat is in sunflower oil. Should I still buy some flax seed caps? I can't stand fish oil caps. I also can't really eat the lean meat before working out or else it's like an hour and half before I don't feel it heavy in my stomach. And lastly just to let you know, I'm lactose intolerent. It's not extreme but like the glass of any kind of milk just would not sit well

Dont have a lot... if you got 10-15g worth of it, which isnt a lot, youd be in good shape, but like i say, do what works for you.

I would invest in some flax caps, if you do not like fish oil.

I plan to get that after I use up what I have now. Long story short I originally ended up with 3 tubs of the HDT powder. Didn't like the strawberry so I got rid of it. But I do like the chocolate which are what the other two are. If I get some extra money I might get Whey, but realistically it will be a while.

So maybe like cook a chicken breast and eat only half? and then not have the shake with my first meal?

I just scramble all my eggs up. They sit well and don't give me any gas that way.

You can have the shake or chicken.... your choice. Shake might be a little more cost effective in the long run.

I was thinking the shake since it has some sugars in it. Not sure how much would be good though, maybe add some dextrose in the morning also, or add some honey or some chocolate chips to the oatmeal for the simple sugar.
