trouble drinking water

I wanted to get everyone's opinion on my latest attempt to drink more water. Right now I am trying to cut out drinking juice all together so I started adding a little crystal light to my water. The label said it contained 5 cals (per 8oz) and no carbs or sodium. It does however contain aspertame. Is this ok to drink since it helps me get close to a gallon of water taken in during the day?

I think Crystal Light is fine if aspartame doesn't bother you. I strongly prefer Splenda products, but it is crucial to get your water, so do what it takes!

What other products are there that use Splenda? I grabbed the crystal light just in passing at the grocery store.

Drink Your Damn Water

I try to drink two to two and a half gallons of water a day and I'll tell you my secret. Get yourself a gallon jug and just keep it with you all day when possible. As long as it is there you'll drink on it. You don't need that Crystal Lite crap either, just drink your water like a man and like it.

You should not drink too much juice during the day anyway. It screws up your metabolism. Drinking water is not hard to do. Now drinking winny is a different story.

i really dont believe that you drink 2 and a half gals of water a day. i keep my gal jug with me all day also but usually get about a gal and a half. 2 and a half gals of water can actually have a negative impact on your body. that is over kill.

I've been drinking this much for over a month now. I didn't know it would have a negative impact. I feel great and have been cutting well and am starting to put on more size. What are the negatives? And yes, I can drink a gallon of water in a little under 2 hours and I average 2 to 2 and a half a day. Sorry.

Hyponatremia, or low blood sodium, generally happens after drinking too much plain water and can lead to adverse effects and tissue damage, and interfere with brain, heart, and muscle function.

12 quarts (1 US quart = 0.25 US gallon) or 3 gallons is the maximum amount to drink in a 24-hour period - ACSM. So 1 and a half a day is about the max.

You can actually die from drinking to much water. It dilutes the blood and can really have a bad effect.

2.5 gallons a day... that's insane lol.... after much huffing and puffing I have made it to about 3/4 gallon a day and that makes me go to the bathroom every 45 minutes. Kinda hard to push myself any harder on this as I can't last through even a 1 hour meeting at work without having to excuse myself and step out in the middle of the discussions.

Yeah man, I pee around every 40 minutes. It sucks. I have to wake up 3 or 4 times a night and pee too. I guess if I put on about 30 more lbs of muscle I'd drink half a protien shake when I woke up at night. But right now it just tends to piss me off. Well after reading this I think I am going to cut back my water intake to around a gallon and a half. I don't to die lol

could not drinking enough water mean your not digesting your food properly and not being able to add muscle? could it also be a reason my feces is usually a big mess instead of being solid?

When my shit is like that it is usually when I'm not getting enough fiber. Maybe I am wrong though.

Caffiene is a diuretic so it dehydrates you.

just stop. when people say, "i gotta get off it somehow" they are not serious about stopping. kinda like when people say, "i gotta loose some weight one of these days". Those people will never lose weight. so if you drink to much tea and you know you do just say to yourself, its not good for my body and im stopping. dont even take one more sip. if you cant do that, you will never stop drinking it.

just drink the damn water. if you were in a desert somewhere and hadnt had water in 4 days i bet you would sure like the taste of water. DRINK!

You know your not having enough water when your piss goes dark yellow (except when you just took vitamin b complex tabs like 1 hr ago)

i never said i didn't like water...

i just said i drank alot of tea...i used to drink sugar filled tea, and switched to splenda...i gotta go one step at a time

it's easier to get off something if u gradually slow it down

like your saying with losing weight, nobody is gonna go from a couch potatoe eating trash all day to jogging 4 miles, lifting weights twice a day, and following a perfect diet 24 hours later...but they could get to that point by cutting out sugar, walking a mile and making regular gradual changes like that
