Beginner needs some advice

Hey guys,

I have been looking on the site and there is a lot of helpful information. I was reffered to this site by Wheyman. Thanks! My Question is that I want to start working out but I don't know how to start as far as my diet is concerned. I am 5' 11" and weigh 240. I don't know my bf but I am sure it is alot. I have talked to my cousin about how I should start but I am still having problems. My main problem is that I work at night and I can't eat like normal people would eat during the day. My cousin has told me that I could treat my nights as if they were days. I have three chances to eat at work. The hours I work are for 11:30 p.m. till 7:30 a.m. I get a break at 1,3,5 o'clock. During the day I sleep from around 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. then I go back to sleep at around 7:00. Is there any way that I could work a diet around those hours? If so, what and when should I eat? Could someone please shed some light on my problem? Thanks in advance!!!!!

Go to the nutrition section and figure out what foods should be on the diet (complex carbs, low fat, high protein) and then eat small meals of these foods every 2 to 2 and a half hours. Just sit down with a piece of paper and make a schedule, buddy.

Anywasy, take a look here Diet Check I work 11pm to 7am three nights a week. I'm not sure when your workout time is, or why you have to wake up at 1. Maybe a little more detail could help more. But you just have to really sit down and schedule it like Goosteady siad.
