What type of Fish does eveyone eat

I had been eating sword fish steaks every now and then. However listening to a radio show today, the person said that the worse fish you can possibly eat is sword fish. He said that of all the fish the swordfish was the worse. He said that much of this fish is thrown over board because of large amounts of tumors and worms that have to be cut out of the fish. They were not sure why this happens.

Anyone else ever hear of this.

I used to enjoy swordfish but with recent reports, I've pretty much cut all swordfish out of my diet. Now I pretty much only eat wild ahi tuna and wild salmon. Of course, when I want good fish, I'll get some sea bass, but that's rare. I would recommend all wild as opposed to farm raised fish--should have much less toxins.

Tilapia, salmon from the grocery store and bass, crappie, sauger and occasionally catfish if we go fishing.

Thank you for all the replies, much appreciated. I try to eat tuna a lot also. I have actually never heard of talipia, but will look into it.

I also saw that you should only eat the Wild Alaskan Salmon but not the farm or Alantic Salmon.

Thanks again everyone!

Canned Tuna, that's it. I unfortunatly don't like fish, but I do like shellfish. The best tasting fish (salmon) I have had was when it was grilled on a cedar plank.

salmon, halibut, and tuna.

reputable processors of swordfish actually fillet the fish, and the hold the fillet to a bright background light. this way they can check for VISIBLE worms, etc. to be perfectly honest, not one person who has worked in that capacity for a period of time will eat swordfish that i've ever heard of.

Amen to sushi!
