easy recipe ideas

okay guys & gals...

i've recently been promoted, and while the increase in pay is awesome, the hours i will be working over the next several months (at least until things in a new facility settle down) will be extreme as well...

that said, i HATE having to revert to buying processed food (fast food, etc). i know you can buy salads from mcdonalds, but when has that ever made you feel full?

so, i have a request for easy recipes. yes, i can pile a slat of turkey breast on wheat bread, but i've already done so for 2 weeks, and need something new.

i'm stretching for new ideas, something i can stockpile on my days off and have for 3-6 days at a time and store in my fridge... my ambition is there, help me out everyone!

Chicken

I eat some skinless chicken strips.

Throw them in a pan with some poppyseed, garlic powder and oregano. After they are done and browned a little, I add some water and let them simmer to become juicy. Pretty tasty, and sometimes they become a chicken burger on a wheat bun.

I assume you have access to heating tools i.e. microwave, oven??? that will dictate what you can have and can't.

I cook up some brown rice and put it in tupperware with black beans and boneless skinless chicken strips cooked in the george foreman. I put grey pupon mustard on it. As an alternative, I do wheat pasta and chicken with spaghetti sauce. If you have s place to keep stuf at work, stockpile some PB and rice cakes. I also keep a few power bar harvests and a bucket of up your mass in my desk for when I need something quick. Also, I make my tuna for sandwiches at the beginning of the week, then every night I just have to scoop it on some bread and put it in a bag. If you do have to eat fast food skip the no nutritional content salad and get some type of grilled chicken sandwich with no mayo.

One of my favorites is cooking chicken breast(1 whole breast) in about 2tbsp. of olive oil and 3tbsp of balsamic vinegar. Add in some sweet bell peppers, onions, mushrooms and garlic (all fresh and in the amount to your liking). Now add some curry, a little bit of ginger and S&P to your taste.
I like to cook up some orzo pasta (about a cup) but whatever you like will work. I add some cajun spices to the pasta to give it some flavor. I also have a medium baked sweet potato with some cinnamon sprinkled on it and spray it with some "I can't believe it's not butter.
It's a good dish with around 30grams protein, lots of good mono and poly fats and just the righ amount of carbs (can't remember exactly how many grams).
