It's all about priorities. It may look stupid, but I carry a cooler with food most places that I go just in case. I also carry backup emergency supplies like beef jerky, sweet potatos (eat it like an apple), tuna packets, etc. I guess I don't see it as a big problem because there is always a way to eat reasonably. Even eating out, it is still possible to get good lean protein--carbs are harder, but I usually just stick to veges.

thx for the reply, is there any other foods you would suggest that you can pick up just about anywhere, like the jerky and tuna packets. |

everyone's basically right so far -- we don't all eat the way we do because of convenience
it sounds like what will help you is being able to pick ou the best meal available to you anywhere you go. If that means a fast food restaurant, find some sandwich with lean meat on a whole grain roll, or a salad with grilled chicken and a healthy dressing. If it's a rest stop...beef jerky, almonds, flavoured calorie-free water, maybe cottage cheese if you're lucky... but yeah, get good at packing meals and cooking beforehand

I work a pretty hectic job. Yet I still am able to make time to eat a diet similar to most on this site. You just need to prepare your food the night before. An hour before I go to sleep at night I prepare my meals for the following day. You have to totally dedicate yourself to it. It will become routine after a while and you will know when to eat even without looking at the clock. There is always time, you just have to find a way to make it.

get some 92/8 or leaner ground beef or turkey...make up liek 8 burgers stakc em up and wrap them in tin foil...even if u cant find any carbs its still some good protein on the go, they keep pretty easy, dont smell, dont make a mess, and are easy to carry around
