being realistic..
i'm getting my bodyfat and stuff later this afternoon... in my head i'm thinking i need to lose 3 pounds a week for the next 10 weeks to finish cutting by second week in august.. not competition or anything, just getting together with a bunch of people i haven't seen in a long time..
is this realistic?

losing 3 lbs a week is a lot to maintain IMO, I wouldn't shoot for more than 1.5-2, unless you have some muscle going with all that

2 max eh? without losing a lot of muscle? i've got probably 30 pounds of body fat on me.. which sucks... wife has commented that my arms, shoulders & legs are looking a lot bigger, but i want to see them pop out, and lose this gut.
doing good on my original goal of the 750 pound deadlift.. almost halfway there, my only hangup is my grip strength... considering going for wraps, but figure it's probably not great to jump too far ahead, listening to the grip whill keep me on the slow and steady avoiding injury.

Think about it this way, say you lose the 20 lbs instead of 30 and dont lose any muscle, youre probably just as good as if you lose 25-30 and some muscle with it. Are you meeting these people for an event like a high school reunion? You could do the carbs/sodium/water loading and depletion thing the last week. I was reading about it the other day and some people lose around 8 lbs in that one week. It will all come back but you ought to be llokin much better for that day youre planning for. If its more of a longer temr metting with people, it may not be your best option though. You should check it out.
As for your deadlift goal. Keep it slow man. youre not going to put up the kinda weight you want over night and injuries will just set you back. Keep looking at your quote. You have plenty of time. |
