Falling off Diet

Been eating pretty healthy for last 4 years and have seen a world of change with training. Lately I have started to not want to eat as clean as I should or get in the 200 - 250 grams of protein a day. Guess overall I'm tired of eating. Also instead of going to the gym 6 days a week I'm down too 3 or 4 max.
I think it's the new job. they flip flop my shifts and the work has no rewards except for the Money. Being tired all the time kinda makes me not want to hit the gym. Where I used to feel good go to the gym and feel even better. I hope the next 6 months won't destroy my years of hard work.
I have been looking into more of the grab and eat items like Protien bars and Drinks. There are some good ones? Diet has changed alot I am queaking it out to fit in with work. Coffee I think is my biggest down fall. Just feel like crap without a large cup in morning, noon and almost night hehe.
Strength has gone down a little, size is about same. Will try harder to fit in the gym. Sometimes i think 4 days is just enough then I look at this fat coming back. Have to cut out the sugar i know.
Big question of the whole statement. What do you grab to eat if in a rush?

I think most everyone has fallen into one of these "spells" at some point. Have you tried taking a full week or two off from the gym? It won't kill you, and may rejuvenate your "want" to get back into it.
As far as working out 4 days a week, that's okay as well, just make sure you rotate body parts, etc. Are you still doing cardio?

Protein shakes are great, just not as your ONLY source of food. Protein bars are essentially crap - especially since you are relying on them as your food/nutrition intake. Why don't you try preparing several days worth of food at once. It really doesn't take long to cook up a pot of rice, sweet potatoes, and some chicken/turkey or tuna. But it saves a lot of time when you're on the run and you can just grab a container and eat on the go.

Stick to it - you'll be happier in the end.

what FB said.

you are just going to have to realize if you want to keep what you have worked for, you are going to have to make it work. protein bars are junk.

i noticed you said "6 months". is this work schedule over at that time? if so, you could just try and maintain until then. once your schedule is easier you can go back to the better diet/training.

coffee isn't bad. if anything, it is speeding up your metabolism. that is unless you dump a gallon of sugar into it.

pack a cooler with some small prepared meals to work with you. if you have a locker keep a good brand of whey isolate on hand so you can have a couple shakes per day and they really help curb sweet tooth. As you already know and said,,,sugar/bad carbs have to be cut,,,no choice.

Thank you guys for the input. Cardio I try 30 min everyday I'm in the gym except on a hard leg day. I concentrate on my heart rate when I do cardio, so that I'm always improving around 155-170 per min. Next as for protien bars they are alot of sugur and carbs but I have been eating Supreme protien bars once and a while. There the best tasting and I use them as dessert.
Last I think I just got tired of eating same foods, did look through posts and it helped alot. Will prepare more food ahead of time. Gotta make sure nobody eats my food. 200-250 grams of protien aday has gotten expensive and hard to keep up. Thank you everyone.

Great advice by all... just wanted to reiterate what FB said...take a week off from the gym completely. It not only will not hurt you, its actually beneficial for your mind and your body. I take a week off every 5-6 months... you get 100% recovery in your head and your body. Switch up your cardio to something you really like to do. I used to run on a treadmill or run sprints out on the local football field.... then I got into boxing, then it progressed to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, etc. so cardio is actually a lot of fun now.

And remember, everyone goes through such spells.

Little bit better now with diet and training. Just 3 - 4 days a week and for food really trying to keep my Protein level above 150 close to 200 grams. stopped eating so many Iso- pure Zero carb shakes. they make it easier to keep protien up. Eating all natural I think is impossble for my size. LOL 3 chickens a day. whole chickens and 2 loafs of multi grain bread hehe.
