I love my Wok!!
So I found my wok again! I had forgot how badass this thing was! I have been cooking everything with it. Chicken, beef, even scrambled eggs this morning! It is super super fast to cook and to clean up. I chopped up a chicken breast and cooked that mother fucker in less than 5 minutes. Damn I love this thing. If you dont have one, definately go out and get one they are really convenient.

How do you cook in it? Do you have to use oil when you cook w/it?

Another good thing is they cook so fast and they cool off so fast when you turn em off. I could be cooking at 350 degrees, turn it off, and it will be cool to the touch in less than 2 minutes. |

christ I would need to get a bigger kitchen if I got a wok, lol. but I have been looking at more asian meals as most of it is just healthier (real asian food). I love stir frying and just throwing in tons of veggies.

Just got done cookin my dinner in the Wok. Chopped up a chicken breast, threw it in with 1 tblspn olive oil and a little bit of Ms. Dash sodium-free marinade. Cooked it up and threw in some broccolli and spinach. Cooked my instant brown rice in the microwave. Mixed em all together on a plate and put on some low fat italian dressing... Good stuff and it took a total of like 10 minutes.
FB I've never given anyone negative rep except Rado. PMing you now... |

I never owned a wok, but should look into getting one. I eat some many veggies, I should just stir fry them.

grinder, you have to get a real wok bro. screw the electric shit.
sonofbone, wok cooking is all about very high heat and cooking it quick. it seals in the flavor and you get a grill type flavor. going to do some stir fry tonight. |

Maybe I can find a stainless or aluminum one so that rust doesn't happen again. Also, sounds like you can get by w/little or no oil, so I'll give it a shot that way too. |

Haha fuck that electric is the real deal. I made steak stir fry just a minute ago in like 4 minutes. Meat fully cooked, vegetables thawed and hot. Good stuff. Unplugged it, scrubbed it for 15 seconds, and stuck it back in the cabinet. Heat is heat and convenience is convenience.

We pre-cook most of our staples once a week. (Chicken, brown rice, etc).
But, I have used our wok for some ghetto-fabulous chicken fried rice. I use the Japanese brown rice, and I actually prefer it now. Anyway, throw in a couple eggs, and scramble in 1 TBSP peanut oil...then throw in 1/2 diced onion until clear. (3 min). Add 1/2c frozen peas & carrots. Then I add the rice (already cooked), then add some garlic powder, soy & the chicken. I cook it for about 5 min altogether. It's yum
