Is organic raisin bran OK on clean diet?

I would like to know if the Nature's Path Flax Plus raisin bran is OK to eat when eating a clean diet. I know you can't eat anything processed but here is the Nutrition facts:

55 gram serving
Calories 200
Fat 2g
Carbs 42g
Protein 5g
Fibre 11g
Omega 3 650mg
Omega 6 480mg

Answer is appreciated!

How much sugar???

As far as cereals go it is probably not as bad, but like I'm sure everyone else will say, it isnt the best source of carbs. Oats will usually always be superior to cereal. That being said, maybe add a little to your oatmeal in the morning to add some variety.... I'm sure that couldn't hurt.

it is fine to have as long as your daily caloric intake does not exceed what your body is burning off each day.

That's not too bad. Ideally you want any carb source you eat to be higher in fiber than sugar though. That's the golden rule.

Do you eat it with milk? If you eat it with milk, then your sugars for that meal just shot up to 35+, depending on how much milk you add. Doesn't matter if you're eating skim or 2% milk, the sugars are still the same. And, if you're eating 2% or Vitamin D milk, that's even worse because you've added fats in with the carbs. I would not eat ANY cereal. Stick with the oats. You could even replace the oats with grits if you need some variety. I, personally cannot stand grits. But, to each their own.

Just out of curiousity- are you eating this for your show diet? How's that going? Sorry sonis hasn't gotten to you yet- he's been working some side jobs about 10+ hrs/day

This raises the question what are the best things to make for breakfast? Is it strictly oatmeal? Is this instant oats or the long cook kind? Does it matter? Thanks for the advice. Sorry to piggy back on this thread.

as long as the instant kind you are talking about it not the stuff in the packets with all the sugar, it is fine.

best things to make is kind of a big question. in terms of a carb source, yea oatmeal is about at the top. protein sources would be eggs, protein shakes, etc..

This is the one i eat every morning....it has massive amounts of sugars in it though, and sometimes the sugar clumps up and it tastes like shit

I didn't know this was bad for you. I assumed it was good because it has oatmeal in it

It is not a hot cereal and probably only available in Canada. Has no sugar in it. It is Flax bran not oatmeal.
