Brown rice cereal??

So me and my bitch are at the grocery store tonight, and she is trying to pick out her cereal. (I never eat cold cereal I sware, but she can get away with it) So while she is looking, she says "Hey look its Brown Rice cereal". I laugh, figuring its just more processed crap with sugar and H.F. Corn Syrup. Well I look at it, and the only ingredient is Whole Brown Rice. It has 14 carbs, and 0 sugars per serving. Assuming I don't eat it with Milk, (which I know has sugar), would this stuff be as good as regular brown rice? At only $1 a bag, it would be much cheaper than traditional rice, not to mention easy to prepare. Step 1: Pour, Step 2: Eat. It would really help when I am working. I only bought 1 bag. Just wondering if the puffing of the rice affects the quality or digestion rate of the carb. There are 0 preservatives, 0 sodium, 0 sugar.

What brand is it and what store did you find it at??? I would assume the GI would be quite a bit higher but *maybe* not enough to make it worthless to eat....

stick with oatmeal and regular brown rice. something ain't right with that cereal. it certainly doesn't have the same nutrient value compared to 1 cup of rice.

not enough fiber for me to eat it oat meal beat the protein by 6 grams. I agree with the Bouncer Oats is it. If I am gonna eat some cereal I am gonna get something good and blow the diet the right way. But, it's not that bad.

You also have to remember it's puffed, so it's going to have less of everything because there isn't as much rice in the cup.
