my panthers.....
CURSED
i know its not like the red sox or chicago or cleveland curves but for the 2nd year in a row kris jenkins is done after the first game, he tore his ACL and is out for the season yesterday if you didn't know kris jenkins is the best DT in football, and carolina is a defense first type team, althought they didn't play great yesterday i'd say when healthy they are the best defense in football, or atleast mentioned in the same sentence with the ravens this is a huge blow, SI predicted carolina to win the super bowl and after an injury plagued year last year, we've already got a pro bowler on the IR :thumbsdow |

Well, somebody didn't want the Panthers to win that game yesterday. What kind of play call is going for the a 25 yd. pass w/over 1 minute to go? 1) They didn't complete the pass which stopped the clock. 2) Even if they had completed the pass, it wouldn't have been a touchdown, so they would still end up having to kick a field goal.
They should've either ran a draw or attempted a 10 yd. pass. As it was, they gave the Saints the ball w/over a minute and 2 timeouts. In my mind, they deserved to lose based on the plays that were called in their last offensive drive. Just my .02, but hopefully, they'll do better now that the feel good Saints won. Also, notice how every team or city that has faced adversity came through yesterday...the Bills, the Jets, the Giants, the Saints, the Redskins & the lowly 49'ers. |

jason taylor is a defensive end, not a tackle....but i'd take julius peppers over him and kris jenkins isn't injury prone yet, its been two years, two different injurys...one a knee, one a shoulder, totally unrelated i consider ken griffey jr injury prone cause he keeps hurting his hammy and his legs....but he's been banged up like 10 years straight, he's the poster child of injury prone |

but this happened to carolina last year....kris jenkins, stephen davis, steve smith, deshaun foster, our 3rd and 4th backup RB's, i think there was something like 13 guys on injured reserve...and it wasn't scrubs it was our stars and now our best player is out again it sucks with rex grossman but he's still a rookie qb basically with his experience...altho the bears will be better off after taking muhammad from carolina |

What an oxymoron. If he was the best DT in football, wouldnt people know who he was? Id take Kevin Williams from Minn. and Rod Coleman from ATL over Jenkins in a minute.

it could be an oxymoron, but i'm assuming alot of NFL fans aren't familiar with d-linemen in general as many probably aren't familiar with o-linemen.....QB's, RB's and WR's get the most publicity blah and blah kris jenkins = :bravonew: |
