Here's foxsports report
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5552412 Texans, Williams agree to contract Posted: 3 minutes ago In what has wound up as a stunning turn of events, the Houston Texans have agreed to terms with Mario Williams and will make the N.C. State defensive end the No. 1 pick in Saturday's draft. FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer reported late Friday afternoon that the Texans had told Williams' representatives that he was their choice, and that negotiations with the two sides had intesified. Williams' signing marks the second time that the Texans have had their first-round pick signed before the draft. QB David Carr agreed to a contract prior to becoming the Texans' first-ever draft choice in 2002. The Texans felt that agreeing to terms with the top pick was important in order to ensure that the player will begin training camp along with the rest of the team. The Texans have spent their past four first round draft picks on the defensive side of the ball. DT Travis Johnson was the 16 th overall selection in 2005, and CB Dunta Robinson and LB Jason Babin were taken with the 10 th and 27 th in the 2004 draft. Williams becomes the first North Carolina State player to be taken with the first pick in the NFL draft. |

I thought it was against some sort of rules to do this before tomorrow.

I'm not sure, it is the first pick though so i guess they can agree to terms before the draft. |

well it's on ESPN.com also so it must be true. I was a little sceptic since you had a news media link, but...Now the draft is going to be very exciting.

Chris Mortensson is kind of an idiot. He was just reporting that Bush wouldn't fall further than 3, but was also talking about the Jets or Titans picking him up.That means he's a possible 4 lol.

why don't the Texans make a move for Justice or Ferguson, or one of the other top OLs in the draft? Wasn't Carr sacked enough last year?

Well there was quite a few games that came down to the defense wearing down. Granted it would help to score more points, but If the defense would have played 4 quarters instead of 3, the Texans would have one at least a couple more.

Well 4 picks down and Lienhart is still undrafted. Green Bay is next.

Lienhart isn't a top 5 pick. SF is up next. They just go Alex Smith implimented in there system... IF they pass on Lienhart, Oakland is next and they were planning on pick a QB(Vince Young was projected to go there).
