Tony Romo and the US open? lol

Just heard on ESPN that Romo is trying to qualify for the US open. Not sure what you guys think but I am not sure that is the best idea for a guy that hasn't won a playoff game yet. Seems to his focus should be 100% football. I bet Manning and Brady are out playing football right now, not playing golf...

It is rather astonishing. I bet Tiger Woods isn't dreaming of winning the Superbowl... despite the fact that Tiger could retire now and be counted among the best golfers ever. He is probably spending every waking moment practicing and rehearsing his return to competition. Likewise, Lance Armstrong spent months practicing on the actual Tour de France route, rehearsing and memorizing every turn, every line, every climb so that he knew exactly what to do when the actual event came. I suppose this is what separates the immortals from the also-rans.

He tried to qualify for it last year as well. I can't remember how he ended up.

Thing is if he makes it he will embarrass himself. I've played that course before and the conditions weren't too bad. They weren't tournament conditions. The pros, even Tiger, are saying the conditions for this tournament are going to be so tough that the pros may not even break par.
