Are you kidding me? The Heisman traditionally goes to an individual that not only stands out as an athlete, but also is instrumental in leading it's team to championship level. Half of America doesn't even know who Fitzgerald plays for, right? Just my 2cc's though. Pneck

An above average QB on the best team in the country will win the Heisman every time. It happens each year. Check these past winners:
2002 Carson Palmer Southern Cal QB 2001 Eric Crouch Nebraska QB 2000 Chris Weinke Florida State QB 1996 Danny Wuerffel Florida QB 1993 Charlie Ward Florida State QB 1992 Gino Torretta Miami QB 1990 Ty Detmer Brigham Young QB 1989 Andre Ware Houston QB There aint a NFL qb in there anyware. Carson Palmer might do allright. But the rest are already done, on the bench, or will be on the bench. Fitzgerald should have won.

VERY true. Jason White has announced his return to OU next fall. I personally think his knees couldn't make it in the NFL even if he were to go the following year.
