For those on a low carb/high fat diet. Looking for a good snack?
Splenda Glazed Roasted Almonds.
Very Easy to make. Poor a regular size bag of almonds in a bowl and cover them with water. Poor all the water out and place the almonds on a pam covered cookie sheet. Sprinkle splenda all over the almonds. Mix the almonds around and sprinkle splenda on again. Place in 400 degree over for 12-15 minutes. Watch that they dont burn. Thats it! They taste like candy! same idea just done a little different.
try using cinnamon as well. same concept but you can also cook them on the stove. frying them with pam, of course.. mix the cinnamon and splenda with the nuts, i usually do pecans, walnuts, and almonds... cook them until the cinnamon and sugar glaze the nuts. like bouncer said make sure not to burn. the only problem is that they are too good, and you end up eating more than you should |
