Well I never eat drumsticks but I can give you some suggestions.
I would get some kind of shake and bake coating for it. Something to give it a little flavor and kick. Once you have the coating on it I would bake it instead of just putting it in a pan. Your second option is to cook them on the grill and coat with BBQ sauce or some kind of glaze while they are cooking. |

Bake them covered at 375 for about 30 minutes until they appear cooked, then uncover them and cook for another 15 minutes. I think the key to making dark meat taste best is cooking it for a long time. You want the meat coming off the bone easilly.
Sprinkle spices on both sides of the drumsticks (definitely remove the skin). You can use a little salt and pepper, garlic powder, onion, cellery seeds, thyme, whatever seasonings you like. If you don't want to cook every night, cook up enough to last for a few days and when it's done and cooled off, you can take it off the bone for easier eating later in the week, you can use it on sanwiches, salads, or on a plate with some sides. You can cut some up and make soup out of it using some chicken stock/bullion and veggies that you like. If you want some carbs, add in some rice.

When I used to eat fried chicken I used shake and bake and then instead of using vegetable oil I used peanut oil; taste like chic-fil-a chicken.

I boil the shit out of them and then after BBQ them on highest heat and apply low or no carb BBQ sauce. its amazing to see the fat thats left behind in the water and youll have less grill fires as well. I do this with whole chickens as well. They cut right in half with a serated knife, even thru bones no problem, so tender. then I grill them as halves and baste with no or low carb BBQ sauce.

Go to a grocery store that stocks ethnic foods or an Indian grocery if you have one in your area, and get a jar of tandoori paste. Marinate the chicken legs in that overnight, then cook them on the BBQ. Great zesty flavor, and the red color makes the chicken much more appealing visually.
