Chocolate Pancake

Seeing as I have been dieting, I have gotten creative with the very few things I am allowed to eat. I thought I would share this with you all.

1 cup oatmeal
1 egg
2 egg whites
1 scoop protein (chocolate preferably)

Mix all of this in a bowl. Add water until it becomes a thick paste. Not as thin as regular pancake batter, but not like cookie dough. Cream of wheat consistency.

Heat up a skillet, and spray it with PAM.

When the skillet is real hot dump in the batter/dough. Spread it to the desired diameter with the spoon. Allow that side to cook completely. ~3 minutes.

Flip. I use the fancy skillet flip, but I suppose you could use a spatula if you are not as gifted ;-).

Enjoy

had it this morning, i gota say it was pretty damn good. A much needed change from the normal eggs and oats. I however did not use enough water so it was a bit dry =/. Also i suck so bad at the whole pancake flipin thing. O god that was a bad idea lol.

On a 5 point scale

If you are dieting it would probably be a 4 or 5

but if you are not like me I would say a 3. I added a tablespoon of oil to the last one I made. That made it better, so I'm sure it just needs some tweeking.

Just had this for breakfast.

I need to tweak it a lot...

Maybe thats cause i used 3 cups of oats instead of the smaller portion that you'd be using on your diet, Severedties. I guess it spread out the chocolateyness too much or whatever.

If you are going to use 3 cups of oats, you will need to use 3x everything else too.

I have been making this with All The Whey's orange protein, and it is great. Just thought that I would share.

I tried this last night but will cut back the oats next time. I threw in some cinnamon too for extra taste. Pretty good!

Russell is an unknown quantity at this point
The result of your fine recipe is an excellent cake indeed, but I was considering to add a small scoop of creatine next time I make it, just to make it even more 'bodybuildish'.
Or wouldn't this be a very good idea?

I would probably not add creatine to the mix. I cannot see how it would be good to heat the creatine, seeing as it is rather unstable once combined with moisture. With heat added to the equation, i can see it degrading quickly.

Make the pancake without creatine, and just mix the creatine with water and drink it while you eat. No need to make things overly complicated.

Creatine belongs in water, not cake.
If you really want ta mix creatine in your food, at least mix it in applepie, that way it won't get overheated.

Tip you driver!
