ziplock omelette
Not sure when this would come in handy, but it may be usefull to some.
http://www.scoutorama.com/recipe/rec...y.cfm?rec_id=8 crack eggs and place in ziplock bag(ziplock quart size bags) along with chopped vegetables and grated or crumbled cheese, salt and pepper. seal bag and for safety place inside a second ziplock bag. Place in pot of boiling water for 5-10 minutes till desired consistency and voila one easy-cleanup omelette. |

Maybe for a camping trip if you're trying to save the space a pan might take up but of course a pot would take up more space soooo...

Obviously it's a way to carry eggs without having to worry about them cracking open in your bag, and also to not have to worry about chopping up the vegetables. Instant meal. Great idea if your going to a park for a BBQ within a few hours after cracking the egg, BUT, it's on a camping website. And I dunno how anyone else feels about food poisening, but i'm not sure i wanna pack a cracked egg and eat it 2 days later in the middle of nowhere. Thats the last place i wanna get sick. Such a negative way to look at I know. However, it has made me hungry. So i am going to go make a broccoli omellete.
