Turkey & Black Bean Chili

I've been making this for a couple years now - still love it.

1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb lean ground turkey
3 cans black beans
1 can tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes (if you like "chunk" of tomato)
1.5 T chili powder
1 T dried oregano
1 T dried basil
1 T red wine vinegar

In a large pot, cook onion and garlic. Add turkey and cook til brown. Stir in beans, tomato sauce, seasonings and vinegar. Reduce heat and let simmer an hour.

You could eat it with rice for extra carbs too.

I always use the bigger can of tomato sauce (14.5 or 2-8oz) because I don't like the big canned tomato chunks.

Let me know what you think.

I'll have to try this as well. Sounds good. I will definitely have to add more then one pound of turkey if I want it to last for more then one meal.

I usually add a bit more, but not more than half a lb over. You don't want it to be too dry.

Kiev is on a distinguished road
Good recipe. My gf loves it and so do I. She makes killer chilli in general. This is a nice twist with the black beans. Thanks
