Tofu

Anyone eat tofu. Didnt realize it was so high in protein.

Beans (including soy):

Tofu, ½ cup 20 grams protein
Tofu, 1 oz, 2.3 grams
Soy milk, 1 cup - 6 -10 grams
Most beans (black, pinto, lentils, etc) about 7-10 grams protein per half cup of cooked beans
Soy beans, ½ cup cooked – 14 grams protein
Split peas, ½ cup cooked – 8 grams

none of those protein sources are complete proteins. aka, not the kind of protein that builds muscle.

any type of animal protein is a complete protein. (beef, chicken, fish, eggs, dairy etc..)

plant type proteins are not complete proteins.

well i looked it up and apparently i am wrong. soy protein is a complete protein after all.

i do have my doubts that tofu can build muscle as well as say beef or chicken.
