Damn insomnia

Seriously do not know what to do - I've never been so active in my life, I know a lot of it is stress related but I have certainly been making the right choices in life and just don't know what to do. RX sleep aids don't work for me, and even if they did I can't take them anymore at all. I've learned a lot about dealing with stress, accepting what I cannot handle - but what the hell ? It seems like I'm not alone on the board with this problem, how do you guys deal with the next day etc ? If it was once in awhile I could cope, but I get it for a couple weeks and then I crash hard. Do you guys simply continue on the same schedule or do you (if possible) allow yourself to sleep in ? If you sleep in do you find it progresses worse or do you eventually even out ? I can't imagine there is much I haven't tried, but any suggestions really would appreciate it - I cannot keep going like this forever and it's starting to really wear on my nerves.

Perhaps you should consider a clinical evaluation by a Clinical Psychologist, stress, depression, anxiety are very real and serious conditions, but treatable.

its all about nerves and stress.

you are making the right life choices now but your nerves are still all fucked from your past. gotta give it time and do your best.

stay away from sugar or caffeine 6-8 hours before bed. take like 4-5 valarien root caps just to calm the nerves. take a hot shower before bed.

do not nap during the day even if you tired. try and stay away from stress triggers.

Have you tried any OTC products like Melatonin or ZMA?

sleep hasn't been much better, I got some good rest the other night but it was after multiple days of not 3-4 hours a night - I notice that on days when I carb up I am insanely sleepy and the next day my lifts (obviously) are much better. I'm not keto or even close, but maybe this has something to do with it ? My diet is clean, basically carbs come from sweet brown rice and sweet potatoes, proteins are chicken - eggs - tuna, salmon and some orange roughy once in awhile ($$) and of course some whey. I don't even drink a cup of coffee at the moment. Any thoughts ? It's starting to become a real nag when I have things to get done and I'm always dragging for the first 3-4 hours everyday. Also as mentioned this could simply be post acute withdrawal symptoms which can last months - upwards of near a year for some people who have been using for prolonged periods. Blah, any thoughts on the carbs / sleep combo ?

bro everyone who calls me thinks I'm like taking a nap or some shit - I'm burned out from not sleeping haha - but yeah dude, no sports center in the back ground, I read the latest MD haha and I had some sleepy time tea. Didn't get great sleep or anything, but I was up at 9 and prolly fell asleep around 6ish - so I'm making myself stay on point. It'll work it's way out, just not gonna end up poppin benzos again for sleep bro, I find no rec value in them but I cannot end up dependent on something for SLEEP for fucks sake ya kno ?? Good looks.

At what point should I start considering going to a sleep therapist / specialist - I've had it done before, was part of a sleep study - but a lot has changed in my life and a great deal of the things that stressed me I have some relief from now. However, I really am having a horrible time with this right now - I've been reading some before I go to bed, make sure I use a real dim light, taking 5mg melatonin, then I'll make sure I'm real comfy before I try to sleep. It just isn't happening, a couple nights a week I'll be fine and then the rest of the week it's killing me. Is it time to go to a specialist again ?

fedexboxes is on a distinguished road
I dunno maybe try a detox like braggs apple cider vinegar suppose to balance your ph balance internally. If your doctors haven't helped maybe see others? I have insomnia from taking allergy medicine and other things, but doesn't sound as bad as yours. Dunno if your religious, but the power of prayer is powerful....
