I don't engage in this either, but please explain to me how this is any different that people going to bars to pick up strangers specifically to have sex. Unprotected sex in either case is GROSS, but as long as it's two consenting adults, and they are practicing safe sex, then I see nothing wrong with it. Like you said, unprotected sex is GROSS. Well, typically, the guys using glory holes are unprotected, therefore IMO it is GROSS, not to mention unsafe.

You think that because a person doesn't understand it, then that's why they find it gross? What's different about going to a bar, meeting someone, then having sex with them vs. walking into a stall, sticking your dick into a hole and having some one you can't see suck you off? HUGE DIFFERENCE! When you're in a bar you talk to a person, look at them, you spend some time getting a feel for what the person is like but when you use a glory hole there is no physical attraction towards the other person, no communication, no foreplay or teasing, it's simply sticking your cock into a hole and having who knows what suck you off. Chances are that if you saw that person face to face it is not someone you'd have been attracted to under normal circumstances.

Everyone has their own comfort level, just because one person's comfort level is different than someone else's does not mean they don't understand it, it's just how they feel. Some people like broccoli, some don't, it's not a matter of understanding, it's a matter of personal taste.

As much as I think the word "deviant" is over-used and mis-used, I think it does apply to glory holes. Sex, IMO - I'll say it again IMO - is about connecting with someone. I am in no way saying that anyone is not entitled to their opinions. I think the main reason many people find glory holes "gross" or "deiavant" is because it is a predominantly a male homosexual behavior and peoples bias towards male homosexuality has an out come on how they view it.

Everyone has their own assesments as to what is gross.

Even If I had just met someone and was having sex with them hours later, there is a connection there. You can look into the eyes of another person and know what you are doing is pleasing them.

Some might consider that a subtile difference, but it is an important one to me.

IMO - the perception of Glory hole if different to each person, it depends on how you take sex. Great thread. Cowgirl's point a few posts back made me think, but didn't change my mind. I would personally be likely to do it, but would still think it's somewhat deviant. Not gross, though. At least not more gross than anything else two or more people can do.
