Biggest problem for me is finding the time to accommodate a girl into my lifestyle.

I have enough time balancing my interests and college as is; the last thing I need right now is someone completely disrupting my schedule and diet for that matter.

Anyone else feel this way?

I can see your problem but my GF and I are so busy she doesnt really disrupt anything at all. The only time I see her during the week is about an hour or 2 before bed.
Thats the cool thing about girls and a busy schedule, if youre just in it for the fun then its easier to make them wait when youre busy. A new GF would be tough though.

I'm sure by the time I buy mine we will all have seen yours and heard all about your research so that wil help

My cousin says to go to the jewelry district in the city (SF) but my girl just told me that she heard costco is the best place to buy a diamond. Sounds kinda ghetto to me but she said they have a max of 15% markup on everything in the store so you know that youre not paying an outrageous price.

I'm planning on asking her using a ring that I already have that has kind of a special meaing for us and then taking her to pick out the real engagement ring herself but we'll see.

Best way to buy the ring is buy the rock from a wholesaler...I've looked at a few these past couple of days....Then by the setting from a Jewelry store that is privately owned...But what you've mentioned at the bottom is also very nice...sentimental at best...

I am so darn lucky. When I met my then girl friend now wife she told me one simple rule. "If I want it take it. Do not ask" She said she as long as we are alone she would never say no and she never has. Now I treat this lovely angel like a queen. I am real good to here and I am careful in that I do not take when I know she has had a real stressful day or if she is under presure to get something done. However every night we make love and fall asleep in each others arms, and then in the morning we continue and when I get in from work I love to bend her over the sink. LOL
