Okay, my cousin (16 y.o.) girl, he and her 19 y.o. boyfriend came to town this weekend for my birthday party.

Her parents foundout, now she is in deep shit. She is the baby girl with 2 older brothers.

Long story short, they are going to send her to a doc to get examined, and if it shows that she has had sex they are gonna charge her boyfriend with statutory rape.

My question.. how much can the docs tell from the exam?

If she said she masturbates.. would it be convinceing?

The reason why is becuase she toldher parents that even tho they snuck out of town, they never had sex and she is still a virgin.

She can say she's masturbated with a vibe inside her and that would have "popped her cherry." The doc. can test for semen but if they used a condom like they should have, then no semen will be found.

I don't know about laws...try doing a search on Google.

It's parents like this who need to wake the F*** up and face reality. No parent wants their teenage daughter to have sex, but to react like this will only put up barriers between them and the child. Instead they should be teaching her responsibility and safe sex.

That's exactly what it's saying. Since She is 16 or older and he is within 3 years it's not statutory rape. The rest is talking about if one person is 21 and the other is under 18 then it can go from a misdemenor to a felony. Just to clarify, the state can press statutory rape charges if they feel the minor is either not compitant enough to understand the difference or the minor has been persuaded to cover for the older person.

The HIPPA act states that patient files are to be kept confidential at all times. the only catch is that a parent or guardian may obtain this information only if the patient is under 15 years old. any minor over the age of 15 must consent to the release of information to their parents. the statutory rape issue doesn't come into play because there isn't enough of an age difference but no matter what they find on any kind of medical exam, the parents can not see that information unless she grants written consent. The HIPPA act is a federal act so it doesn't matter what state she's in. i didn't quote this word for word but i've been through so much training on this topic i'm sick of it.

and if she is imbarrassed about the masturbating thing then she could just say that she uses tampons instead of pads. they have been known to break the hymen in some cases.

and her parents need to let go anyway. her mom was probably gettin stuck like a pin cushion when she was 16. kids need to learn their own lessons in life.

i don't think that a doctor could tell if someone has had sex or not. I was a gymnast and they always taught us in sex class that hymens can be broken from doing splitz. unless she is walking around with an std... I don't know how they would know intercourse or not

i wasn't a flexible gymnast, sorry, super strong... that's how I could do really hard things... I can only do the splits one way, not all 3

My sister recently went through something similar with my mom. She had had sex and was all freaked out about going to the OBGYN because she was afraid they would tell my mom.
Last time I checked, Dr.'s are not able to tell from a pap smear that the hymen has been broken... I'm not quite sure how a Dr. tells from a pelvic exam the hymen has been broken.
