So called "lean gainers"...

Has anyone seen these lean weight gainers, such as Pro Complex Gainer by ON? If so, based on the nutritional index, how do they compare with some of the ones we typically consider shit? This appears to be reasonable in calories, fat, sugar, etc....

pretty much the same. loaded with malto, fats, and protein. if you need it to add some cals then I say go for it. its not really optimal though.

I am having a difficult time eating the needed cals to gain. I thought throwing this in post workout might help? Since I workout at 5 am, I didn't think the extras would be a detriment taken PWO....

na, to much fat for post workout. you want fast digestion after a workout. you could add it it through out the day but not for post workout.

Just a protein shake, 45g. But it's a lean shake, not many calories and 3-4 g carbs. What should I add?

some kinda carb source right after workout. a lot of people use dextrose. but even throwin some oatmeal in with your shake and blending it would be better than nothing. need some kinda carb source post workout. just not fat which is what it looks like that weight gainer has a lot of.

carbs are actually the most important thing post workout believe it or not. you need some carbs with your protein shake. I like vitargo cgl along with my protein powder post workout.

I have a Taurine/Glutamine/Creatine Complex I got from All The Whey that I haven't really been taking. I'll through it in with my protein PWO, it has dextrose.
