morning workout help!

who here works out right after waking up? if so do you have a meal before you go? i recently started working out in the morning but just having a shake before I go and my strength has dramatically decreased. I just dont have the same energy and intensity that I have when I used to workout in the evening. I have noticed that most prefer working out in the morning so if yall could help me. should i have a meal before i go? i dont have a meal because I am pressed for time and usually I wait an hour or so before I workout after a meal. so ya if that made sense someone give me their 2 cents. thanks yall peace!

i switched to AM workouts after 10 years of training at night... i've grown more consistently in the last four/five years than in the previous 10 years. as long as i'm getting enough sleep, i feel more explosive power in the morning. my only meal prior to workout is currently Muscle Milk with non-fat milk, and an added 20 grams of whey protein powder. i figure i'm getting around 50-60 grams of protein right there alone... digesting about 40 grams of it easily.

Try an MRP. Then drive really slow to the gym. My workouts are usually pretty good in the morning if I have an MRP and take my time. I jump in the shower and then hit the treadmill for about 15 minutes, just a light warm-up to get me awake and killing about 45 minutes from drinking my MRP and lifting. As long as I give my body time to wake up and process some of the liquid breakfast it's all good.

MRP's are great, I always eat in the mornings.... and I prefer to work out in the am.... I carb up fairly heavy in the mornings so energy really isnt an issue with me.

i love working out when i wake up. first thing i do is take a very small eca stack. (one stacker 2 cap) after a little while i usually eat peanut butter on toast with a banana on it, half a muscle milk shake, and sometimes a bowl of cereal. after a little settling time i feel great and often overwork myself at the gym b/c i feel so good.
