Training chest???

is this ok or do i need more

When training chest I do
Flat bench 3(sets) 8-10 reps going up 10lbs each set
Incline bench 3(sets) 8-10 reps going up 10lbs each set
Flies 3(sets) 8-10 reps going up 10lbs each set

I tend to do a similar lift but end with 2 sets or so on the cables or pec deck. I prefer Incline flies to flat flies. Also, if you are doing 10 reps at say 200lbs on your first set and then say 8 reps at 220 on your 3rd set, you didn't go to failure on the first set. I believe all 9 of your sets should go to failure.

I agree with the failure part. I also started doing weighted dips and think it has helped quite a bit. Everything else is basically the sam movement for your arms, so the dips add something a little different in.

Yes, all sets to failure, which will generally mean that if you did not change the weight each set, you would probably get less reps on each subsequent set. For example, I will incline 225lbs for 16-18 reps, then 12 reps then 8-10, each time to failure.

i shoot to fail on rep 4-6 on my final two sets.... I was told by a top pro not to go over 8 reps except maybe for warm up..

it seems to work for me.

that what I do.........if I can get 6 reps , I go find the 2 1/2's...
