Morning workout

Just had my first early morning workout in about 8 years and damn did it feel good. Now, I just need to get my training routine down, since I've been out of the gym since August, and I'll be good to go.

I want to work my back a lot more than I am used to in order to get my V-shape back that I once had. I am used only doing a few things. Today, since I'm just starting out again, consisted of:

Lat Pull Downs
Seated Row
Bent Over Row

I know I need to add pull ups, but what else should be added to my back day in order to get some thickness and the V-shape again.

Thanks,
B

Looks good to start out with . Just change you routine in about a month. T-bar rows, I call them lawn mower pulls I belive they are called one arm rows. Go here and you can put together killer workouts.

Staright arm pulldowns, Like doing a pullover except you are standing, really works the tie ins on the lower lats.

T-bars are good if you lower back is strong, Deadlifts if you can.

I felt great this morning with the workout and getting up at 4:30 am, but now at 4:20 pm I'm looking to see where the damn truck came from that hit me.

It always sucks trying to get back into the groove of things.

Thanks again for the input on a back routine, along with the link to the website, it has been very informative for me.

goliath has a spectacular aura aboutgoliath has a spectacular aura about
you need some deads and some close grip rows in there! my back routine is usually something like this:

chin-ups
deadlifts
t-bar rows or bent over BB rows
then finish with close grip seated rows.

nothing compares to deadlifts for overall back mass.

trip is on a distinguished road
bdubb,

Keep it up, the first month of getting in that routine is the hardest.

I work out in am all the time, like it ten times better than afternoon, I eat better, feel better, it's all good.

On back, for me it is anything can really really FEEL the muscle. Which is seated cable rows, use all kinds of positions and really can feel muscle burn.

good luck
