Weight loss each night...
I was just wondering how much weight you guys are losing each night, on average?
I lose anywhere from 1.5-3 lbs, depending on how much I piss in the morning, and how much I can eat before bed. Any tips on losing less? Oh, and if it helps I have a very high metabolism. It really pisses me off, it seems like it's the only thing keeping me from bulking up. I can gain 3 lbs in a day, but then I wake up in the morning and it's fuckin' gone... |

Don't worry about day to day or within-day gains/losses, bro... the noise level is too great as it will depend on how much you eat, how much water you drink, how much you pee, etc.
Why don't you check once a week at the same time, for example right after you wake up, or when you work out? You will be able to get more reliable measurements and you can be more confident you are measuring real gains, not how much pasta you ate in your last meal.... |

I was wondering the same thing.. just out of curiousity though.
I usually loose between 5 and 8 lbs every night... but I'm usually back up to the same weight or close by the evening when I go to bed. I'm around 235-240, fyi.

I don't concentrate too much on my day to day, I keep record of it, and when I look at the past month or two i can see that I'm steadily gaining. I was just hoping for a way to lose less at night, so I could bulk quicker. As for you doubleOsi, I can't afford to lose 8lbs....I mean I literally cannot afford it, 8lbs of food a day is expensive, no matter what it is...

when you workout and sweat the water you loose has to be replenished, if not you will loose a couple pounds of water weight. For every pound lost in water weight you need to drink a pint of water to replace it. So make sure to keep yourself hydrated

I know mine is all water...
by the time I eat breakfast and drink my first 1.5 L, my weight is usually back up there pretty close. I usually drink between 4.5-7L / day. But I don't obsess about my bdwt. constantly... I don't really care as long as I get stronger at this point...

7L? That's almost 2 friggin' gallons! Man, how do you manage to drink so much? I am sipping water all the time and I can only get down about 72-80 oz. If I drink any more, I feel I have no room in my stomach to eat anything....

No shit. I basically drink as much as I can whenever I can, but there's no way I drink more than a gallon a day. Not to mention I stop drinking as much when my piss becomes clear. I can't even imagine 2 gallons....

I usually drink close to three liters just while I'm in the gym for an hour...
I usually drink about a liter within an hour of waking in the morning... I don't know, I guess I started drinking alot of water about 5 years ago. I always have a bottle of water with me, I don't sip, If I take a 'drink' of water it is usually about 500cc's... I prefer my water room temp or just slightly colder, mostly 'cause I have sensitive teeth. I used to take a gallon jug to work with me, and that was my volume to consume during that 8 hours. If I don't get at least 3 liters in a day, I'll wake up with a nasty headache, and it will take me all day to 'catch up' I'm guess I'm just thirsty all the time. And I'm not diebetic, I get my blood work done regularly.

I've been trying to eat about 2 chicken breasts a day, some eggs, 20-25oz. of protein shake a day. Sometimes some beef. I've never kept track of exactly how many grams of protein per day, but so far I've gained 11 lbs in 10 weeks. Thanx for the tips.
