Its been a while
hey hey,
Its been a while since i was training properly. I seem to have forgotten most of what i learnt!!! It sucks!! Right, basically i only have time to go to the gym max 3 times weekly (i am gigging a shit load), so i'm breaking it into 1 day push (chest, tri-ceps, shoulders) 1 day pull (Back, Bi-ceps, traps) 1 day legs. Because of my shitty lack of time i need to make my workouts as efficient as possible. I've been told i should spend no more than 1 1/2 hours in the gym when i go (this right?). I usually do my sets (reverse pyramid, 4 sets with one warm up) then a superset to failure to tire the muscle. Does this seem ok?? Is there anything else i can do to help myself out?? Beacuse i'm always away gigging etc. my diet is not so good. I know its an essential part of building but i can't afford to buy the protein shakes and chicken breasts yet, although i do supplement with creatine monohydrate. My diet is not bad though, i don't eat fast food etc. i do eat healthily, just don't think i'm eating enough. Can anyone give me anymore advice?? My goal is initially to put on mass, then i will look at toning, fitness etc. thanks, sorry for the essay

Sounds like you're on the right track. you may want to change you split up a bit. 3 mscle groups in one session can be very taxing. Try Day1 Chest/Tri Day 2 Back/Bi Day 3 Legs Day 4 shoulders/traps.
To many people get cought up in doing thier whole body in one week. there is nothing wrong with takeing 10 days or so between body parts. Just cause you can only get to the gym 3 days a week doesn't meen you can't use a 4 day split. And yes eating is key, so is rest. Many people forget that, make sure you give yourself enough time to recover. It sounds like you know what you need to do now you just have to actualy do it.

Nice one, That makes sense. I'll try splitting into four. I don't know what i assumed you had to do it all in one week!!!
Next step is more protein, anyone know of an CHEAP shakes?? Used to use Myoplex which was really good and didn't taste liek poo, tad on the pricey side though
