Killer Shoulder workout?
Does anyone have a favorite shoulder workout that they would kindly share with me? Im big into training shoulders because I am really broad, so I want to define my shoulders.
Anywhoooo..I am looking to pump up my regular shoulder workout which basicly sucks because I feel nothing the next day..obviously been doing the same motions for far too long. Care to share any? |

Quote:
Do unilateral side lateral raises. Lift the dumbell to a point just below parallel to the floor and then only lower 3/4 of the way. then do a short breath pause and repeat. this will burn the shit out of your shoulders. |

i've been doing a drop set at the end of my side laterals. i need some medial delts so i've been trying to go heavy with the side laterals, but since this is making me lose some form (i cheat when i try to go heavy), i'm trying to make up for it with the drop set.
it sure does burn. |

My shoulder routine is simple...3-4 working sets of military presses, 3 sets of bent laterals and 2 sets of regular laterals. I am never sore in my shoulders unless an injury is working up. I know I have done it right because I just cannot lift my arms without struggleing for a little after I leave the gym.
Like mentioned above, use a record to judge progress. It's amazing that I am one of the few guys at my gym that uses one. When someone asks hw the ycan make gains, I tell them to first get a note pad. lol |

Drop sets work great for shoulders. I like to do them standing as I have to use stabilizing muscles at the same time. If I am going to go HEAVY I will use the Smith machine, but dumbbells are best. Never forget the rear head on your shoulders! Work them! Some folks forget of wait till the end and do not put much into it. Good luck.
