Back injury

I hurt my back doing bent over rows Easter morning and was forced out of the gym for about a month. I did some physical therapy and am now back to lifting. Should I try bent over rows again or stick with other back exercises? Anyone ever have this same problem.

meat12 is on a distinguished road
If your gonna try them again I would go with a much lighter weight. But if you don't want to take a chance at re-injuring yourslf I would say pass on it....there are a shitload of other good back workout you can do. Thats what is nice about the back there are so many different ways to work it out.

if you are going to do bent over rows or any exercise that puts your lumbar in a dangerous position you better be damn sure your form is PERFECT. I speak from experience when I have gotten lax in my form I always seem to hurt myself. Be very careful as chronic back pain is a pain in the ass to deal with. drop the weights back and use perfect form.

Yeah, back injuries are the worst. Just be careful, bro. I like chinups, lat pulldowns and cable rows better for that reason. I'm just getting back into deadlifts after a few years ago I had injured myself.
