broken wrist

I broke my novicular(sp) bone in march 2003 and was casted for almost 12 weeks. It is one of the small bones in the wrist. It took almost until now to gain my strength back in my bench, shoulder press, and others. My question is when I lift my wrist feels so tight and uncomfortable that I have to crack it to make it feel better. Is this something that I will always have to do? Or will I simply grow out of it in time? Its a pain because sometimes it just wont crack and thats the only way it feels good enough to do heavy sets. Im just curious if any of you have had similar situations. Thanks

BTW I have tried glucosimine before but did not think it did anything.
