Cardio+Calories
Will Cardio do anything for your physique besides strengthen your heart if your bulking and in calorie surpllus? Its close to summer and i want to stay super lean so im doing cardio like 2x a week now. Just seems like its canceling itself out because i eat a huge bowl of brown rice and then just burn it off? Is it burning stored fat or just the carbs im eating? thanks

Cardiovascular workouts also stimulate many other processes in your body that improve fat burning. Having higher aerobic capacity also improves carnitine palmityl transferase (CPT) activity, which allows you to burn more fat. Anybody that says you can accomplish the same thing by only cutting calories is just lazy and wrong.

BBAddict is right about the health benefits.
Something else to consider. 2X a week will make you healthier, but if you are trying to gain some serious muscle I would keep it to a minimum. It just depends on your overall goals as to what will work best.
