If I want to get bigger should I do 6-8 reps?

From my experience, lower reps with heavier weight is better for putting on mass. Less weight and higher reps is better for definition and endurance. Everyone is different however. Experiment to see what's best for you.

thats how i found out what works for me and what doesnt.

You will probably find it varies from body part to body part. So, like the others said,
experiment.
