neck muscle injury?
Anyone know much about neck muscles and muscle strains? I got choked out pretty good in class about 3 weeks ago, and it really hurt to swallow, cough, clear my throat, raise my voice, sneeze etc. etc. the next day. The second day later it got a little better but then every day since has been the same, so a week ago i went to see a doc to find out what i injured and why its not getting better. She asks questions, feels around and looks confused, then shes like "hey one side of your neck looks swollen, maybe you strained a muscle, take 2 aleve twice a day and ice it for a week"
well its been a week and it is still the same so i made another appointment to see a different doc tomorrow but thought i could get some info from anyone here.....it hurts to the touch of the left side of my adams apple, and its mostly an uncomforatable feeling when i swallow, but hurts real bad like a stingy pain when i sneez or cough. The aleve helped a little but if i stop takeing it it will feel the same.
If it is a strain how long till it should feel better? And if it has to do with a neck muscle should my adams apple hurt?
