Rear Delts and Shrugs

Is it better to do shrugs with back workout or shoulder work out. I have seen people do both.

Also I have the same question for the rear delts. When turned around seated on the fly machine using it as a rear delt exercise is it best to do this with back workout or shoulder work out.

It seems like it is hard to not hit a little rear delt with back workout.

Thanks

It's really personal preference when it comes to traps. I personally do them on back day b/c I do a lot of deadlifts which hits the traps. As for rear delts, I do them on shoulder day. Rear delts are hit on back to certain extent, this is why you don't want to overtrain or waste your time with a bunch of "finishing type" (some guys like to do two or three movements for rear delts; no good) movements. Stick to compound movements.

I do traps with shoulders. Rear delts with shoulders. I really don't feel the rear delts on back day cause I mostly only do rows, deads, and pull-ups and downs.

I do traps with back, because I consider it a pulling movement. I just do 5 sets at the end of my back workout.

I do traps with back cause I feel that I hit part of the traps with the row movements so it makes sense to do them with the rowing movements. I don't think shoulder lifts hit the traps much or at all.

I focus on keeping my shoulders down and back when doing that so that I don't involve my traps.

currently i'm training my back with biceps....and shoulders with legs

to hit my rear delts real good on shoulder day i just do bent over db raise or reverse fly's using a machine depending on whether i go to the gym or not

i feel my rear delts getting worked almost as good on back days just from doin bent over bb or db rows or whatever it is that i'm doing that day

everyone else would probably do a few more exercises to work your rear delts, but i feel them getting worked enough and i'm rehabbing a shoulder injury which makes my arm tired quicker then normal
