progressive intensity/static contractions/partial reps
Does this method have any merit? I read some of Pete Sisco's stuff online but couldn't find much on it on SuperiorMuscle. It seems that it would make a good addition to an existing training regimen, but not ideal as a stand alone training philosophy. I just don't buy the whole "train for 30 seconds every month and grow" claim. Ridiculous. He also claims that your workout is the biggest contributing factor to growth and strength gains.
How could you combine it with traditional philosophies? I mean, the idea of progressive intensity makes sense, I'm just not sure what to think of the idea that you can accomplish this using partial reps and static contractions. Just wondering what you all think of it. How do high volume, full ROM sets stimulate growth as opposed to this progressive intensity theory?
