Cardio Question

I havent consistently done cardio in about 5 years. I need to get back in shape and I wanted to add some cardio to my weight training. I only want to do it for my health. I dont care about losing weight or anything like that. As a matter of fact, I wont to lose as little weight as possible.

Heres the question: When do you guys do your cardio? Before or after you workout? I know most of you are going to say after but then when do you have your protein shake? The protein shake is the only thing thats throwing me off.

you should be having a protein source every 2 hours or so you body should always have an amino acid pool available. but yeah just drink it after, you wouldn't want to be doing cardio with a gut full of protein anyway, that would be my main resaon.
